UPWr DORMITORIES

The Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences has over 1,800 places in 6 dormitories. Individual dormitories have different sizes of rooms - from triple, double and single rooms to modular rooms with their own bathroom and kitchen. Each of the rooms has access to the Internet and an intercom connecting to the 24-hour reception. All dormitories provide basic furniture, like beds (including bed linens, blankets, pillows), desks, chairs and wardrobes for all students, and often also some smaller pieces of furniture like a nightstand or a set of drawers. Kitchens are equipped with basic appliances, like stoves, ovens, and fridges, but you need to bring your own smaller items like pots, pans, plates, glasses etc. You can buy all household items you need easily after you arrive in Wrocław.  

Location of the dormitories of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences is their great advantage. Four of them: Centaur, Labirynt, Talizman, and Zodiak are in the city centre in the vicinity of Grunwaldzki Square. Arka and Raj are located in the green areas of Biskupin, Wrocław's most beautiful district. You can find more information as well as some photos of the dormitories on the main university website. 

The Arka Dorm

This dormitory is not available at the moment due to a renovation currently taking place. More information about it will appear in the future when it's ready to welcome students again! 

The rooms in the dormitory are arranged in modules. This means that the residents of more than one room share a toilet and a shower. The rooms in the modules are for a maximum number of 8 or 10 persons (4 double rooms to share a toilet and a shower or 2 triples and 2 doubles). There is one kitchen to be shared by all the residents on each floor. You will need your own kitchen utensils (plates, cups, pots, pans, etc.). The linen, pillows and blankets are provided by the dormitory services and exchanged every month.

The Centaur Dorm

offers single, double, and triple rooms. The dorm is located in the city center in close proximity to the UPWr Grunwaldzki Campus.

The Labirynt Dorm

The rooms in the dormitory are arranged in modules for max 5 persons (1 double + 1 double/triple room) to share a kitchen and a bathroom. You will need your own kitchen utensils (plates, cups, pots, pans, etc.). Duvets, pillows and bed linen are included and changed by the dormitory services once a month. One part of the dormitory has also been renovated to a higher standard and offers single studio rooms.

The Raj Dorm

is located on Biskupin campus. Rooms are arranged in modules for 2 or 4 persons to share a kitchen and a bathroom (2 single rooms or 2 double rooms in one module). You will need your own kitchen utensils (plates, cups, pots, pans, etc.). The linen, pillows and blankets are provided by the dormitory services. Three washing machines (payable) are available.

The Talizman Dorm

is next to the Didactic and Scientific Centre on the Grunwaldzki campus of the UPWr. Teaching facilities are within 3 minute walking distance from student accommodation. Dorm residents are offered double and triple rooms.

The Zodiak Dorm

is overlooking the Odra River. It accommodates double and triple rooms. There is a car park next to the building.

• 5 dryers, including 3 equipped with washing machines

All rooms have internet access. The dormitory has one key system and is subject to complete fire monitoring.

 Examples of monthly rent costs in student dorms*:

Important: A deposit of PLN 500.00 must be paid upon arrival at the latest (in no case later than one week after arrival). Rent is due before the 25th of each month (except for December, when it is due before the 15th). 

Electricity: Electricity used in Poland is 220 Volts, its frequency is 50 Hz and the plugs have two male contact points (same as in Germany, France, Russia etc).

How to apply: international students who have been accepted to the first year of study can contact the Admissions Office for help arranging accommodation at the dormitory. Erasmus students are requested to contact the Erasmus Office. Students from higher years who would like to start living at the dormitory need to contact the Student Affairs Centre.

If you wish, you can also look for individual accommodation and rent a room or apartment from a landlord. We can provide some general tips, but due to limited resources we cannot offer any substantial help with the process, students will need to find individual accommodation themselves.
